Liz, happiness is about finidng the right job? That's way too depressing. I think money's pretty important in order to do fun things like traveling or going out to restaurants or whatever never mind mortgage payments, bills, car payments, the kid's clothes and groceries. While money obviously doesn't bring happiness it's a pretty miserable existence without it and I know because I've been there. Now, I may not know what happiness is any more than the next person but I can say that it makes me happy when I do good things for the people in my life or when I accomplish something significant like getting the kids off to school without one of them having a temper tantrum.I think the follow-up question to Tim's original question is, assuming James does turn things around, how long will he stay turned around before he falls apart and starts acting horribly again? A week? A month? A year maybe? I hope he does figure out how to pull things together but then again I won't be holding my breath.

We camped at DLSP as opposed to staying at the more expensive campground associated with Six Flags Darien Lake Theme Park. Our campsite was in Loop A, which is the only loop in the park with electric sites. While we were a bit surprised to find out that our site had few trees to the back, it provided us with lots of great scenery "out back" and a nice fire pit behind and to the left of the camper. Water spigots are numerous and the bathhouses seemed cleaner than most I have seen in NYS Parks. The ranger station was manned by some younger men and women who were not the most talkative but provided the basic info we needed. The park is not huge, on;u 158 campsites with 45 electric and 113 non-electric sites. The lake is 12 acres and we found the little old-fashioned bridge over to Picnic Island to be very quaint. We also enjoyed using the paddleboats on the lake. Campsites are available year-round on the weekends and daily from June to October. We'll be back since the location is everything with this park. Close to Six Flags and Buffalo or Batavia!

This is an OK park. It's very close to 6 Flags and half the cost of camping there. They do have some nice electric sites. Some of the sites are smack dab out in the sun! We did have a problem with loud, drunk campers next to us, but the park police took care of it right away. The beach is nice, and we had a good time fishing on what they call Friendship Island. We'll go back.
