Tim,I have just started linetnisg to your podcast and I just finished this episode. I did the hollywood tango years ago. Only I was a cinematographer/writer. Got very close the the alter of fame and fortune once. very close. I find myself reflecting back on those times. The uphill battle for work. Working on low budget paycheck movies. Sucking it up and watching no talented people fly past me because of who they know and not because of their talent. I was bitter then, but now, I'm older, wiser and wish I had this wisdom back then. A friend once told me what L.A./Hollywood was to him. It was a prostitute. One goes in, gets what you can for the short time we are all alotted to become famous and then you get out. I agreed with him to an extent. It is that but it's how much your personal stock rises as well and as a result the types of prostitutes get better. It's about image, it's about who one knows, it's also about how well you know yourself. Love in Hollywood, now that's a different metaphore. I equate it to being a diamond miner in South Africa. You are down 3 miles in a hot, dark shaft, sweaty bodies bumping into each other while you all break your ass trying to find that diamond. When you are young and strong you want the best and brightest one with no flaws. As one gets older, you will see that there are very few of those and you will be happy with any diamond. Until you realize that the flawed diamonds are actually the best. I finally left Hollywood only to find my Diamond elsewhere. It's a rough road out there. I congradulate anyone that can make it, let alone become a somebody . I honestly wish you so much luck, because I really do know how difficult it can be out there. My days of film are past me now. I wax wimsically from time to time about what would have happened if I stayed. Meh, If I stayed, I wouldn't be with the one I love now. All paths are varied. There is no straight one in the land of the Hollywood. Peace, man, peace.

Tim,I have this friend from high scoohl. We both had brothers that were four years older than us. Our respective brothers were complete douche bags. They caused a lot of trouble at scoohl but it was the trouble at home that made my friend and I so angry. Together, we would completely trash and laugh about our loser brothers. BUT the minute someone tried to join in, Yeah. Your brother is a fucking loser. That's when things changed. We would defend them. That's the only way I can describe the feeling I have. I agree with you just like I agreed with those dudes who were piling on my brother. My older brother was a complete asshole at the time and James hasn't done much to deserve much either. But I've got to back up my brotha just like I backed up my brother. So, it's not wrong for you to laugh. It's funny shit. I love that you're laughing. I'm just not going to pile on.Respect,Tim

We had a great time at this park. The scenery is excellent and there's plenty of hiking trails given its proximity to Catoctin National Park. It is the first site that I ever had that required no leveling. Bathrooms were clean given that our loop was 100% full. Nice lake and beach for swimming although we didn't use it due to the cooler temperatures. Great park close to the DC metro area.

An A-1 state park campground! The location is just north of Frederick, MD on US 15. The CG was easy to get to and was a treat once we got there. After checking in and setting up, we looked at the CG map and saw a trail near our site that led to Cunningham Falls (the park's namesake). It took about 20 minutes of pretty rough hiking to get to the falls. Once we got there, the falls were a little dry since we haven't had much rain this month. But, my 10 year old daughter and her friend had a great time climbing up to the top of the 78 ft falls. The sites are cinder-bed smooth and flat, with ample room for a pop-up. Even the fire ring and cooking grate were clean. The bathhouse was very clean with large showers. The campstore was adequately stocked with the usual stuff. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The town of Thurmont is quaint and close. There was a candy store in town that had over 200 different kinds of hard candy and treats, along with ice cream and local produce. There is also an orchard nearby where the fruit is right off the tree. Also nearby is Catoctin Mountain Park. All-in-all, a very nice state park CG. We will definitely stay here again, soon. Fall would be a great time to be here.

Many great hiking trails nearby. The "Scales and Tails" pavilion at the Manor Area (Same park separated by several miles) is a great stop...
