Spent four days here during July 2005. Sites are the best I've found in a NYSP - level, wooded, spacious, nice fire pit, good distance between other sites, beautiful lakes (its between 7th and 8th), hiking trails... Bathrooms were my only sticking point - they had not cleaned the bugs/cobwebs out all summer or even longer is my guess. They would go in and spray some Lysol, clean the toilet and sink bowls, but not touch anything else. If you need a squeeky clean bathroom, this is not the place for you, but if you want a great wooded camsite between two lakes - perfect! Old Forge, Inlet, and Racquette Lake are all close enough for day trips/activities.

Fabulous rustic campground in Adirondacks. Most sites extremely private and wooded. Lots of clean bathrooms and big shower house. Many sites are waterfront. Near all the attractions of Old Forge area. It's a beautiful, quiet place.
