The State Park sits on a bluff above the lake. While the campsites are very clean and most have abundant shade, there really is no access to the lake. There are two boat ramps where you can access the lake, but no swimming is allowed near them. There is a swimming area not too far from the campsite, but it was closed when we were there and I cannot comment on it. There is an 8 mile and 12 mile primitive bike/hike trail with some steep terrain and rough passages. All in all a very nice camping experience.
