colleen1017Colleen,

I don t own one, but they re excellent trailers. They would be at/near the top of my list if I was looking for one myself.

One point to mention is that the Starcraft slideouts are a little different than most. On the one hand, they slideout almost a full foot farther than a comparable Coleman, leaving you with lots of interior floor space. But on the other hand, they re not self-supporting and have scissor jacks to provide the extra support. Some have lamented that they can be a pain. So, as part of your negotiation (assuming you re buying from a dealer), see if you can have them switch out the scissor jacks for the screw-down stabilizers and you ll be all set.

Other than that, I would not hesitate in the least to buy a Starcraft. They are very well made and have stood the test of time.

Good luck!

colleen1017Colleen,

We bought a 00 Starcraft Galaxy last Fall and love it. We are now totally hooked on camping with the kids. We also looked at Coleman, Viking and Jayco. Starcraft just has some great quality and some intangable " thing" that drew us in. We love it. Looking at the 2000 info my dealer provided me, the Spaceliner looks great.

Check with Starcraft or a dealer, they may be able to give you a copy of the 2000 information. If you need something quick, let me know and I ll see if it s in my info. However, there are lots of people here who have more knowledge that I. You can t go wrong with a Starcraft!

colleen1017well, lets see, we had a 1975 starcraft pu, which is still on the road! (sold it) WE needed longer bed s son is over 6 Then we had a 2000 Starscraft Spacestar and loved it! still on the road (trade it in) now we have a 2003 Starcraft Travelstar 21SSO and loving it! the only reason we sold the other two is my husband loves the new look and comforts and we travel a lot, so he wanted this one because set up time is 5 mins, and that means something in the rain![;)]

what questions do you have? is Starcraft worth the money WE think so! all our units road well, kept us dry in nor-easters, and with normal maintance never cost us much money we took care of our units and they took good care of us! their re-sale value is good also! and if you look around there s not many for re-sale, because owners hang on to them because they are good units. (yes there are rare occassions for a unit to have a problem, but 99% of the time they are worth the money.

colleen1017Thanks everyone for all your help. It sounds like Starcrafts are well liked so I will keep this camper in mind.

colleen1017I don t own one, but if I was looking, and had a reputable dealer nearby, I would definitely consider them. Most of the old ones we see are Starcraft. I feel like they are a good product.

We are looking to get a new camper and were looking at Coleman Baysides but found what we think is a good deal on a 2000 Starcraft Spaceliner. The problem is we know nothing about Starcraft( I can t even find the spaceliner on the starcraft site so the name must have changed). Does anyone know about these? Maybe the pros and cons to getting one or the other? Anything at all will help because I have looked all over the web and can t find much about Starcraft.

Thanks[:)]
