Great idea--I know when I joined this board way back when I appreciated the welcome several gave me.

Why not simply e-mail welcomes to the new folks privately? This would keep the board from looking like a " chat" room filled with hello s and goodbyes.



Course this assumes that the new members don t " hide" their e-mail address to keep from being inundated with welcomes...earl

I don t make a habit of looking down at the bottom of the page at the " newest member" link, but I just did...it was Miss-Teri.



I think it would be cool to start welcoming new members before they have had a chance to make their first post.



Waddaya think?
